I really wish someone had told me how bad the carpet felt before I moved in. Everything looked fine during the walkthrough, but walking on it barefoot was honestly pretty rough and not something I expected. Hopefully that’s something they replace before the next tenant. That said, property management (Zzyzx) was super responsive and easy to work with. Any issue I had was handled quickly, which made a big difference. I did get a few HOA notices for weeds, but nothing unreasonable. They felt pretty fair overall. One thing to be aware of is that people from the neighboring apartment complex would occasionally hop the wall and walk through the neighborhood. Also, the main street nearby had some homeless presence, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable walking my dog alone at night. Overall, it’s a decent place with really solid management, but a few things that are definitely worth knowing ahead of time.
